Exploration of Real-Time Volumetric Cloud Rendering

I am a final-year student with a particular interest in Graphics Programming. I have worked on projects such as creating a graphics abstractions layer for PS4 and Windows, Gerstner waves, bloom and deferred lighting in D3D11.
I had become interested in rendering volumetrics due to the addition of responsive smokes in Counter Strike 2. I found out that the effect was likely created using the methods outlined in a SIGGRAPH talk by Guerilla Games. This inspired me to try to recreate the effect for myself.
