Barriers and Facilitators of Reflection Experienced By Counselling Students

I am Gemma Cope, 35, with a decade of experience in the care industry. Currently, I work as a NHS nursing assistant. I recently completed my degree in Psychology and Counselling, aiming to become a professional counsellor, my goal is to work with people who have experienced trauma and/or domestic abuse. My undergraduate project, “Exploration of Barriers and Facilitators of Reflection from Undergraduate Counselling Students Perspectives: A Thematic Analysis”, involved qualitative interviews to identify challenges and support in reflective practice among counselling students. Through my research, I hope to enhance understanding and improve reflective practices in the counselling field.
