Verdicts of guilt
I’ve always been fascinated with how people make decisions, and what influences this process, especially within the criminal justice system. I discovered criminal profiles through the show Criminal Minds and wanted to use them in my project to assess their uses and effectiveness, to start the discussion as to whether they should be accepted as evidence in courts. My project used a real case where a wrongful verdict of guilt was given, but provided participants with a criminal profile alongside case evidence, to test whether this would lead to a correct verdict of guilt.
