Smart AI Chess Board

A fully functional smart chessboard featuring a 3D printed design, LED lit squares, and AI integration.

  • The board uses an Arduino Nano to control individual LEDs and detect button presses for each square.
  • while a Raspberry Pi runs the main chess engine and game logic.

LED lighting is used to draw the board, show legal moves, and display AI responses. The system features real-time interaction between hardware and software, allowing players to compete against an AI opponent on a physical board. All components from electronics to code are custom-built by me in just under 2 weeks.
