Refractions: A Game designed at exploring player attachment

I’m a Games Design and Programming graduate with an interest in narrative and character gameplay design.

This project is an artefact that accompanied my final year research project. This project explored the impact of player attachment on branched narrative decisions​.

The project itself was a short narrative game that would alter the game’s visual appearance and the dialogue based on the current relationship the player has with the character.

This was a successful research project that set out to explore the topic and offer areas of further research within the field.
