Real-Time Volumetric Lighting System with a custom DirectX 11 Renderer

Hi, my name is Arnas Puidokas. I am a computer games programmer with special interests in graphics programming and simulations. This project originally was my dissertation, which looked at volumetric lighting systems and their impact on realism and performance in real-time applications. It investigates existing techniques and challenges that come from implementing volumetric lighting within a DirectX 11 rendering pipeline. The artefact was originally built of a pre-existing framework, which came with its challenges. Currently it’s being rebuilt fully to improve the implementation and achieve the original intended volumetric lighting results.
