Pieces of Me is a personal film for me, even though it is told through someone else. It’s made up of feelings and memories that I have carried for a long time, growing up in a small town, feeling stuck, and trying to figure out who I am. I wanted to make something that felt honest, soft and reflective. It’s less about what happens and more about how it feels. That’s why the visuals are sometimes abstract and the voiceover feels more like a diary. This film is me looking back and realising I was never really lost.
