“One Day” multisensory installation by Lily Isobella Lambert

One Day explores the liminality of hope, focusing on the suspended space between wishing and fulfilment. Inspired by a prolonged period of uncertainty in the artist’s personal life, the installation reflects how imagined futures can become a means of enduring the present. Combining nostalgia, waiting, and optimism, the multisensory work invites viewers into a timeless environment shaped by shared belief. A clock fixed at 11:11 symbolises the moment a wish is made, while decaying walls, ivy, a mirrored wishing well, handwritten letters, and an illusory archway explore memory, uncertainty, and possibility. Audience interaction completes the evolving archive of hope.
