Letter to Marion

Louise explores themes of memory, absence, and inherited identity through portraiture. Her work is deeply rooted in her Lithuanian heritage and her current practice acts as a tribute to her grandmother, an artist she never met. Pover reconstructs relationships across time, preserving fragments of presence through her artwork. Working across painting, drawing and mixed media, she often uses old family photographs as a starting point and combines personal histories with broader cultural narratives. Her work has been shown in both solo and group exhibitions across England, as well as in an international group exhibition in Croatia.
