Latency, Accuracy, and Optimisation for UAV Mapping Systems
I am a Computer Science student interested in software development, Google Cloud, web technologies, and AI-based systems. My final year project is a web-based UAV delivery and route optimisation simulation. The system calculates drone routes, avoids simulated no-fly zones, displays live movement on an interactive map, and compares A* with Dijkstra’s algorithm. The project uses Python, FastAPI, JavaScript, Leaflet, and OpenStreetMap to demonstrate route optimisation, telemetry, and performance evaluation. This project helped me develop skills in backend development, frontend design, cloud-ready web systems, pathfinding algorithms, testing, and technical evaluation.
