The aim of the project is to understand if variation in stitches used in knitted
fabrics impacts the engineering properties of the fabric. This project focuses
on using a natural material for the composition of the yarn. Physical testing in
the laboratory aims to model the findings using FEA software for greater
understanding of knitted material properties across the textile industry.
