My name is Emma Szarlej and I am a final year Forensic Investigation Student. My project is based on the Investigation into Chemical Attacks by using Textile Damage Analysis of Whole Garments. Macroscopic examination of the effect of five chemicals against various material types was performed. Colour change, bleaching, dissolution and charring characteristics were observed over a 24hour time frame, and noted using a grading system. This project aimed to help create a base for a grading system for chemical attacks from the analysis perfomed.
