How the Identities of Voluntarily Childless Women are Constructed
A Critical Discourse Analysis exploring how voluntarily childless women construct their identities in response to dominant representations of them within society. I am an undergraduate student in Psychology and Counselling, graduating this summer. For my final-year project, I chose to conduct this research because I believe that the issue of gendered roles and stereotypes constructed by society requires further investigation. Here I give voluntarily childless women the opportunity to realise their identities in spite of the discourse surrounding them.
