Depression & EI as predictors of attention to emotional images

My project examined whether depression and emotional intelligence could predict attention towards emotional images. Eye-tracking equipment was utilised to measure total dwell time on emotional images, and depression and emotional intelligence scores were derived from completed questionnaires. The results demonstrated no significant findings relating to depression, but there was a significant positive association between emotional intelligence and attention to positive images.

Throughout my BSc Psychology degree, I have really enjoyed the research methods modules and developed a passion for research. I am particularly keen on developing my skills and knowledge further by pursuing a career within research.
