Blood Detection in Sinks Following Washing of Bloody Hands

Bonnie Long is a third year at the University of Staffordshire, studying Forensic Investigations. Over their three year course they have learnt a wide variety in topics, while building their interest for blood analysis which led to their dissertation project topic.

Degradation of blood in a sink following washing of bloody hands, focusing on the effects soap types have overtime is the overall aim, with degradation being investigated through DNA quantity and quality.
