An Investigation Into ISO 17025 Adherence Rates in UK Policing DFU's
This study examines UK police forces’ adherence to ISO 17025 standards in digital forensics, revealing that mobile phones and computers are the most accredited areas. It identifies inconsistencies in ISO 17025 certificates, such as typographical errors, and calls for standardised certification. The research highlights trends in digital forensic practices and recommends further qualitative research. Minnie, with expertise in digital evidence processing, is further developing her skills through a 6-week placement with the Staffordshire Forensic Partnership, focusing on improving evidence packaging protocols.
