Hi Esports!
I’m Kurtis (aka Kuinno) and I have done my dissertation on usernames within esports. My username has been so integral to my identity, my ability and my attitudes within esports so it felt appropriate to study how others felt and my research shows the significance of usernames within esports. My research aims to fill that gap and help people truly understand the importance of usernames in this industry.
I believe usernames are under utilised within esports so I wanted my research to prove their importance in many different pathways within esports such as identity theory, performance, marketability and perception.
