What is now is what remains from then (Photography-Installation)
Blair is a multidisciplinary fine artist based in Stoke-on-Trent whose practice combines analogue photography, installation and experimental darkroom processes. Working with 35mm film, lith printing and chemical manipulation, the work examines post-industrial landscapes, memory and the erosion of social infrastructure. The exhibition, What Is Now Is What Remains From Then, brings together photographs, found objects and archival materials to construct fragmented environments that blur documentary and fiction. Influenced by psychogeography and theories of time and technological memory, the installation examines how people attempt to navigate unstable histories through images, objects and material traces of the past.
