My Name is Alka, and I am a Fashion student passionate about storytelling through fashion, film and emotional narrative. My project, Thread & Treasure, investigates memory, motherhood, heritage and identity through a cinematic fashion film inspired by my relationship with my mother. Through combining styling, movement, symbolism and visual storytelling, the project captures emotional connections across generations and highlights the significants of cultural traditions. I also modelled within the film and led the creative direction, styling, filming and editing processes. this project strengthened both my technical and conceptual abilities while enabling me to produce a personal and compelling outcome.
