This project, focuses on optimising the material components of wind turbine gearboxes to improve their efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Through meticulous selection and testing of materials such as AISI 5160 steel and Tungsten Alloy W-25Re, this study evaluates their performance against the industry standard, 19CrNiMo7-6.
