The Effects of Flash Photography on Mummified Remains

My name is Tamara Evans, I am an undergraduate student studying Forensic Investigation and my Forensic Research Project was titled “The Effects of Flash Photography on Mummified Remains”.

This entailed mummifying mice in an environmental chamber in two different replicated conditions, Tyrolean Alps and Palermo, and taking a series of photographs using a Nikon D3200 camera, to study what amount of damage is caused by flash photography on mummified tissue. This was measured by using a UV torch to examine the remains.

I really enjoyed studying anthropology and I would like a career in CSI or DVI.
