My Masters research is structured in three sections: test, record, and exhibit. Through researching glazes and experimenting with methods of testing them, I explore the balance between material investigation and creative process. My goal for the recording stage transforms technical results into visually engaging documentation, making the information both accessible and shareable. In the final section, ‘Exhibit’, the glazes are presented on forms designed specifically for testing surface variation. Thrown on the wheel, these forms maximise surfaces and contour while still reflecting my personal style, drawing inspiration from classical ceramic forms.
