Spellslingers - Developing A Modern Pedometer Game Without Reliance on GPS

I’m a Game Designer with a passion for innovation in design and the full game development process! I love pixelart and learning about new tools, all of which inspired my research into pedometer games.

Spellslingers integrates pedometer mechanics with modern design sensibilities as a proposed solution to GPS-based fitness games disadvantaging players based on location, particularly rural areas.

In this project, I learned about shader code, pedometer mechanics and mobile development, while analysing feedback from an active player base of 10-20 players and acting upon this to polish the game and iterate on prior design choices.

Type of employment sought
I am mainly looking for game design roles, however with my skills in pixelart and C# scripting especially in the Unity engine I am also looking at more open indie roles.
