Saturate - Game Design

I find myself drawn to to “the small moments” in games where the player experiences a scene or is provided with a snapshot into a wider narrative. These moments are often told through environmental storytelling or interactables.

To deliver a unique narrative I decided to apply a greyscale post process and assign each character a unique colour theming that would stay unsaturated to draw attention.

I wanted to improve my environmental storytelling abilities and for this I opted to have the player interacting with objects in the scene to discover who was here before and uncover what happened to them.
