My name is Louis Stonehouse-Gusewski, I have recently completed my BSc Forensic Science course. For my final year project, I was tasked with digitising the West Yorkshire Police test footwear mark collection into a digital database. A test footwear mark is a reproduced footwear mark from shoes that have been seized as evidence. These test footwear marks can then be compared to other footwear marks for identification.

A digital database of test footwear marks allows for rapid processing and statistical analysis. This project also proposes a method of digital footwear mark examination that could be implemented into a software program.

I would like a job in which I could specialise in a forensic discipline. I would also be open in engaging in further research projects.

Birmingham or the wider West Midlands region. I would also be open to traveling further afield.
