Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of Unknown Tablets from V-Festival Am

3,4-methylenylndioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) is a drug that alters an individual’s perception through altering time perception and leading to prolonged hours of staying awake. The drug is usually taken at festivals or raves where the user may not be used to the experiences that it brings, as there is more likely to be people from the general public at places such as these. The research uses traditional methods such as high-performance liquid chromatography, HPLC and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to determine the composition of unknown samples dropped in an amnesty box at V-Festival in Staffordshire.
