Alice Watkinson is a Staffordshire based ceramic artist and designer with a background in furniture and interior design. Her practice explores process-led making through extruding, focusing on the behaviours of clay. Balancing control with restraint, she responds instinctively to the material, disrupting processes traditionally associated with uniformity. Playful and unapologetic, her work embraces irregularity, questioning authorship between artist, material and making process to invite attention and interpretation.
