Gilded Grove - Mushroom Identification Game
As a technical and UX designer, I wanted to create a mushroom identification mechanic that felt approachable and engaging. This was a challenge due to the amount of information needed and even leading games in the genre fail to provide this in a readable format with players often relying on images alone. With a scalable guidebook and notepad UI system, players are encouraged to consider different features and actively participate in the identification process. Feedback about performance and collection progress tracking provides intrinsic encouragement.
