Generative World Combined with Generating Narrative Puzzle Mechanic
My name is Charlie Guest, and I’m an aspiring Engine programmer. I specialise in procedural generation and work in both Unity and Unreal Engine. This project consists of a generator tool that creates a randomised terrain and a combination puzzle mechanic that is playable within it. I’ve made use of different algorithms within this project. They include: Delaunay Triangulation for the unique terrain mesh creation, use of a 3D Voronoi diagram to locate possible spawn points and a modified version of the Wave Function Collapse algorithm for selection of solvable puzzle items which are present in the generation output.
