Lorna Medley.

My work explores the intersection of spirituality and recovery, particularly in relation to alcoholism and the twelve-step program. I focus on how personal and spiritual experiences shape individual narratives and contribute to meaningful discourse. Through photography, film, and cyanotype printing, I capture the essence of recovery, emphasizing its unpredictable and transformative nature. The cyanotype process reflects the gradual and evolving journey of sobriety. My practice bridges science and spirituality, inviting viewers to reflect on the shared experiences of recovery and the cultural understanding that unites us. I aim to provoke thought on the artist’s role in this space.
