Crescendo Without Mastery: Redefining Boss Fights Through Accessibility

Hi there! I’m a Game Designer with a passion for systems-driven gameplay, currently specialising in AI, NPC behaviour, and combat design.

My experience spans a range of AI-focused projects, from stealth-based NPCs and dynamic traffic systems to needs-driven Sims-style agents. Each project has challenged me to explore how virtual characters think, react, and interact, shaping my understanding of both player experience and systemic depth.

My latest project is a boss battle encounter that dives into player-NPC interaction, specifically, how to make AI feel intelligent, reactive, and above all, fair. I’ve been focused on designing behaviour that’s readable and responsive.
