I’m Paige, an illustrator passionate about storytelling and raising awareness through art. As a nature enthusiast, I love depicting animals and environments. My project, “Consuming Our Consequences: The Ocean’s Plastic Burden,” stems from this passion, inspired by personal research and Sir David Attenborough’s work. I wanted to create a powerful statement, using large, impactful animals like orcas constructed from recycled materials and paper mache. This visually emphasizes that all creatures, regardless of size or power, are affected by our actions—like orcas passing ingested plastic to their young through breast milk. Supporting posters feature plastic-filled silhouettes and a call to action.
