Can bold and self-assured women succeed in Pakistan?
The aim of my project was to present to a wider audience the struggles that women in Pakistan continue to face. I associated this by analysing the patriarchal society and the Islamic interpretations of how women should be treated. I also explored case studies of significant individuals, such as Qandeel Baloch and Mufti Abdul Qavi. I have a prime interest in supporting Pakistani women on receiving their rights; I apply feminist approaches throughout my dissertation.
Type of employment sought
I would like to go into teaching sociology or health and social care. Another option I have is to work with victims of domestic abuse in organisations such as KABWAA which is a refuge organisation.
