Frances Hatton has 10 years of experience working with Network Rail and understands the importance of efficient and reliable railway networks, which are essential to transportation infrastructure, economic growth, and passenger satisfaction. Train delays can have significant operational and financial consequences, affecting both service providers and commuters. Currently completing her BSc (Hons) in Computer Science at University of Staffordshire, Frances Hatton’s final year project focuses on analysing historical train delay data to uncover key contributing factors and generate actionable insights for optimising railway network performance through advanced data analysis techniques.
